Impromptu Haiku: 1
The Seasons
Spring
The daffodil stirs,
A small, cold bulb in the dark,
Longing for the sun.
Summer
A floral sundress
Ripples on the backyard line,
Dreaming of bare skin.
Autumn
One leaf among many,
Dying in damp earthy piles,
Recalls life’s beauty.
Winter
Snow falls silently
I listen to my own heart
In the lonely night.
